Central Concerns and Questions
Flexibility and efficiency of enterprise software applications are often at odds with each other - customizing generic packaged applications is expensive and migrating these customized applications to newer platforms is often a nightmare. We study mechanisms and methodologies that weaken this tradeoff between flexibility and efficiency in enterprise application development.
Emerging Ideas and Initiatives
- Effect of coupling and cohesion in impacting program comprehension and evolution of object-oriented systems
- Role of model-based component development methodology to achieve business agility
- Techniques to discover customization capability of systems
