Admission Requirement

The minimum entry requirement for admission into the Master programme is a Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline.

Additional requirements include:

  • Good TOEFL scores
  • Good GRE or GMAT scores
  • 2 academic references

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language - International Test)
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Applicants whose medium of instruction for their Bachelor degree is not in English are required to submit TOEFL (international test) scores. For TOEFL registration information, please visit the website http://www.toefl.org . SMU's TOEFL institution code is 9014.

GRE (Graduate Record Examinations - General Test Scores)
Applicants are also required to submit GRE General Test scores, though exemptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis. For GRE registration information, please visit the website http://www.gre.org. SMU's GRE institution code is 2861. Test taken within 5 years will be accepted.

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) - For applicants pursuing ISM area
Students who are interested to pursue in the area of Information Systems & Management (ISM), may choose to substitute the GRE scores with GMAT scores. Test taken within 5 years will be accepted. The GMAT code for this programme is F8D-Z4-31.

1 The Singapore Management University reserves the right to alter fees as appropriate.
2 Foreign students can qualify for subsidized tuition fee by signing an agreement with the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) to work for three years in Singapore-based companies after graduation. The details on this service scheme are published on the website of MOE.
