SMU BIG: SMU Business Innovations Generator
SMU Business Innovations Generator (BIG) is set up by the University
with the objectives to promote and nurture entrepreneurial
initiatives in SMU, manage the joint Ministry of Trade and
Industry (MTI) - SMU funds for investing in promising business
proposals, and to administer
the incubation space in the Bras Basah campus.
Practice Prof. Desai Narasimhalu from SIS is the Chairman/Facilitator of SMU BIG.
SMU BIG is working closely with the Interactive Digital Media Programme Office (IDMPO) and our partners, Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), to facilitate support from industry players, business mentors and technology suppliers to provide bottom-up assistance to transforming your innovative ideas into useful applications and breakthroughs.

SMU Ventures: The Entreprenuership Society
SMU Ventures incubates new ventures and networks with investors and consultants.
It strives to make entrepreneurship, idea generation,
and the spirit of change a hallmark of SMU by incubating new
ventures and networking with the industry, investors and consultants.
SMU Ventures organise a number of events that allow students to gain insight,
ideas and inspiration from experienced entrepreneurs and
like-minded individuals.
SIS students have been very active in this society since its inception.
UOB-SMU Entrepreneurship Alliance Centre
The UOB-SMU Entrepreneurship Alliance Centre seeks to provide educational opportunities for SMU students to work with local enterprises in Singapore. Through their involvement with local enterprises as student consultants, they will learn about enteprise management issues and SME consulting. The SMU students will not be working alone but under the guidance of SMU faculty and SMU affliated professionals as mentors.
