iN.SG - Infocomm News from Singapore (Jan 2008 issue)
In 2006, Infocomm manpower in Singapore grew 7 per cent to bring the number of infocomm professionals in Singapore to 120,000 in 2006. Under the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore's (IDA) iN2015 masterplan, the goal is to create an additional 80,000 infocomm jobs by 2015.
The Service Science Management and Engineering (SSME) programme was launched recently to nurture multi-disciplinary infocomm talent.

Also, the already existing specialty track in Business Intelligence is an appropriate background for high valued Technology & Operations jobs in Banking or Trading. Outstanding SIS undergraduates can also fast-track into the SIS Master of IT in Business (Financial Services) programme, the only master programme in Singapore (or Asia) that is totally focused on training technology & operations professionals for banking. |
