The role of the Business Analyst and Systems Analyst: "SIS students make fantastic analytsts"

Industry leaders keep telling us that BSc (ISM) graduates make Great Business Analysts. Starting off as a Business Analyst leads to great employment and long term career opportunties.

Business Analysts quickly become experts in how an entire business process or an entire business unit operates. They quickly become "invaluable" people. Some business analysts choose to deepen their technology skills and also pursue management careers with companies or units that are technology providers. Some business analysts get so knowlegeable that they get "drafted" into the business units to lead follow on projects. They get promoted into the ranks of senior business management, and become the champions of using technology and process improvement to drive business innovation and value creation.
