Michelle CHEONG Lee Fong

Michelle Cheong is Practice Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. Her research interests include Logistics Network Design, Third Party Logistics Business & Trends, Supply Chain Planning and Configuration, and Spreadsheet Modeling of Business Problems. She graduated from Nanyang Technological University under the Singapore-MIT Alliance program. Prior to her PhD, Michelle has many years of IT development and consultancy experience. She has worked with many companies in precision engineering, printing and aerospace, developing and implementing enterprise-wide IT systems . Her recent consultancy works involve logistics network design for logistics companies.
KAM Tin Seong

Kam Tin Seong is Practice Associate Professor of Information Systems at the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. Assoc Prof Kam has more than twenty years of experience in both the geospatial industry as well as the academia. His teaching and research interests are in GIS for Business, location intelligence and spatial optimisation, Internet Mapping and GIS services, geo-business data mining, and Spatial OLAP. Prior to joining SMU he was the Manager, Application and Educational Services, ESRI Pte. Ltd., one of the world leading GIS company.
Assoc Prof Kam is active in consulting work as well as executive training for government agencies and companies. Some organisations that he consulted or conducted training programmes for include the United Nations Centre for Regional Development, Asia Development Bank, Japan-Indonesia Forum (JIF), Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), Singapore Land Authority (SLA), Land Transport Authority (LTA), Jurong Town Corporation (JTC), National Environmental Agency (NEA), Citibank, Standard Charted Bank, National Healthcare Group (NHC), PT. Freeport, Brunei Shell Petroleum, UNOCAL Thailand, and ConocoPhillips, Indonesia.
KHOO Teng Aun

Khoo Teng Aun is Associate Professor in the School of Accountancy, Singapore Management University. He had taught at National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. He had many years of working experience in external audit, internal audit, company secretary, financial accountant as well as management services. He was previously the tax examiner for the basic tax paper for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1997. He also teaches taxation for executive courses. He is currently a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. His research interests include the area of internet financial reporting, multi-national companies, cost and management accounting systems, as well as, entrepreneurial studies.
LEE Wee Leong

Dr Lee Wee Leong is Practice Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. Dr Lee holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours Class I) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Leeds (UK), Master of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and PhD from Imperial College (UK) on an overseas research scholarship from the formal National Science & Technology Board (NSTB) currently known as Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR).
Dr Lee formally heads the R&D department at Y3 Technologies (a supply chain solutions provider) and was responsible for developing and implementing supply chain planning (optimisation-based) and execution systems. He was also providing consultancy in supply chain network optimisation. Before joining Y3, he was a research fellow with Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) and was engaged in R&D activities in the areas of demand forecasting, vehicle routing optimisation, loading optimisation and RFID
application development and implementation. In his earlier career, Dr Lee has several years of working experience in the oil & gas and aerospace industry.
Dr Lee has published articles in academic journals and presented papers at international conferences. His academic articles have appeared in the International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Operations & Production Management and Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing.
LEONG Thin Yin
Practice Associate Professor

Thin-Yin is Practice Associate Professor at the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. He was formerly senior lecturer at the business school, National University of Singapore and has taught undergraduate, postgraduate and executive programme courses in operations management, business logistics, business process modeling and simulation. He has also consulted for a number of businesses in Singapore in production planning, supply chain management and business process improvement. Prior to joining SMU, he had also spent many years working in the engineering, technology management, infocomm and senior management capacities. His main research interests are currently in spreadsheets as decision-support systems, end-user software engineering and computing, applications of IT in operations management, applications of IT in supply chain management and logistics, and conceptual design of business processes.
MA Dan

Dan Ma is an assistant professor at the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. Her major research interests are examining the economic impacts of information technology on organisations’ competitive strategies, business models as well as business processes. She is interested to study industrial transformations driven by IT innovations, such as the recent changes in the healthcare and financial industries. Her current work focuses on the use of grid utility computing, Internet-related business innovations, and software market evolutions.
Dr. Ma holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the ZheJiang University, China, and a master degree in Management Science from the University of Rochester, U.S.A.
MILLER Steven
Practice Professor

Dr. Miller is founding Dean of the School of Information Systems (SIS) at Singapore Management University , and also serves as Practice Professor of Information Systems. Since 2003, he has led efforts to launch and establish the undergraduate, graduate and professional programs of the SIS.
Immediately prior to joining SMU, Dr. Miller served as Chief Architect Executive for the Business Consulting Services unit of IBM Global Services in Asia Pacific. He held prior industry appointments with Fujitsu Network Systems, and with RWD Technologies. Dr. Miller started his professional career as an Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon University , conducting research and teaching related to Computer-Integrated Manufacturing and Robotics applications and impacts.
He has a Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Systems Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Science in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University .
NARASIMHALU Arcot Desai

Arcot Desai Narasimhalu has about thirty years of experience in Innovation and Innovation Management. He has formalised his experience with a study of successful innovations leading to an innovation framework he has named Innvoation Cube. He has initiated and directed several technology innovation groups and has helped transition them into product or service innovations in the commercial world. He has also significant experience in IT Management and is currently very active in the field of IT Governance. He has established active networks in IT Governance with both the industry and academia.
Desai is a Practice Professor of Information Systems at the Singapore Management University with the School of Information Systems where he is also the Associate Dean for Student Programmes and External Relations. He also helps run SMU's incubation center called Business Innovation Generator. He is also an advisor to start ups in the technology arena.
RAMASUBBU Narayanasamy

Narayan Ramasubbu is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the Singapore Management University. He graduated from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a PhD in Business Administration. Prior to pursuing his PhD, he was a senior developer with SAP AG where he was involved in the design, development and deployment of enterprise business intelligence systems in the sales and distribution, and CRM domains. He also consulted for and participated in several industry-academic collaborations with leading firms, including Tektronix, Infosys, Wipro, and SAP Labs India, on designing software product, project and process management strategies. His primary research and teaching interests include distributed product development, software product standardisation and customisation, software engineering economics, and business value of IT.
His research has appeared or is forthcoming in proceedings of the International Conference on Information Systems, Academy of Management conferences, Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, and IEEE Software.
SHANKARARAMAN Venkataramanan

Venky Shankararaman is a Practice Associate Professor at the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University, Singapore. His current areas of specialisation include enterprise architecture, enterprise integration, service oriented architecture and business process management. He has over 14 years experience in the IT industry in various capacities as a researcher, academic faculty member and industry consultant. Venky has designed and delivered professional courses for government and industry in areas such as enterprise architecture, technical architecture, enterprise integration and business process management. Venky also worked as a faculty member at Universities in the UK and Singapore where he was actively involved in teaching and research in the areas of intelligent systems and distributed systems. He has published over 50 papers in academic journals and conferences.
