The Master of IT in Business (Financial Services) is an intensive programme which may be completed either on a full time or part time basis.

There is one intake a year, and the Programme begins in August. The Programme comprises eleven course units and a capstone project. The capstone project is equivalent to two course units. Classes are conducted on weekday evenings and/or Saturdays. For full-time students, attachment with Capstone Project component is encouraged. A workshop is conducted once a month during a weekday evening. This is when industry experts share their insights, and work with students to guide, review and critique their projects.

The curriculum for the MITB Programme is structured into 4 groups of courses:

A.1 is compulsory,
minimum 4 others
D.1A, D.1C and C.2 are compulsory unless exempted; choose 2 other courses across series C or D. Exempted course must be replaced by another course from A, B, C or D series.

Programme Exit Model

We allow students to re-sit a failed exam. They will not be able to continue the programme if they do not pass on the second attempt. Students need to maintain an average GPA of 2.5 in order to remain in the programme. Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be conferred the Master of IT in Business degree and the MITB (Financial Services) Certificate by the Singapore Management University.
