The Advanced Business Technology (ABT) Second Major can be done in the following ways:

- ABT without Specialisation
- Banking Processes & Solutions Specialisation
- Business Intelligence & Analytics Specialisation
- Service Systems & Solutions Specialisation

Students with special interest in banking processes, operations and technology solutions are strongly encouraged to take some of the courses in finance that are offered by the Lee Kong Chian School of Business. These courses can be counted towards your Business Oriented Electives.

Students with special interest in data mining and the use of statistical methods for business intelligence are strongly encouraged to take these two statistics courses offered by the School of Economics:

• Applied Statistical Methods
• Probability Theory and Applications

These 2 courses can be counted towards your Business Oriented Electives OR towards your IS Management Depth Electives.

Also, consider choosing your Business Oriented Electives to study topics offered by any other SMU school where Business Intelligence & Analytics can be applied.
