SAP, the world's largest provider of enterprise business solutions, is leading the global transformation to solutions based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). SOA is a combined IT and business approach for making business enterprises more adaptive and responsive to changes in markets and customer needs.

In our SIS Enterprise Solutions Lab, we are now installing the newest version (V3) of the SAP Discovery System for Enterprise SOA. This is a pre-configured envrionment of the next generation of SAP business software applications and components. These applications and builidng block components can easily be assembled into solutions that meet the customised need of a particular business, or adapted to meet changing business and market needs.

By giving our students access to the SAP Enterprise Discovery System, they will be able understand and apply the newest generation of SAP solutions for managing a business enterprise.This experience gives SIS students an edge, no matter what industry or what size or type of company they might choose to eventually work for. Nearly all competitive, globally oriented business organisations will be using business systems interconnected via concepts and technologies of Service Oriented Architecture.

This next generation business solution will be used in our SIS Advanced Business Solution Second Major.
