Internship Programme

Hundreds of companies across every sector of the economy provide internship opportunities for all our SIS students.

The table below shows that each year, the number of companies offering internships for SIS students through the SMU Internship Programme has been increasing. And similarly, the total number of internship openings listed across all of these participating firms has also been increasing every year.

Note that in 2008

• The number of companies listing internships for SIS students increased by a factor of 2. 6
  
  
• The number of internship positions posted for SIS students nearly doubled from the previous year
  
  
• Many of the internships are exclusively for our SIS students because of their ability to apply IT thinking and leverage IT solutions to solve business problems
  
  
• Note that most of the internship listings are in the industry end-user companies. These are firms across every sector of the economy that leverage IT solutions to  manage and operate their business. Hence, through SIS internships, you learn how “business does business”
