Learning Outcomes Management System (LOMS) to Help Each Student Manage Their Own Skill Development

Learn how LOMS will benefit our SIS students…

Olivia CHIU
SIS Undergraduate Student
(Batch 2006)

“The Learning Outcomes Management System (LOMS) is a unique tool that trains us to have goals in mind while we progress with learning. With eight distinct learning outcomes as well as simple scales of proficiency mapped out for us, we are able to track our development, allowing us to target our problem areas while pushing our strengths to greater heights. e.g. My favorite feature of the LOMS is where we can attach our self-assessment to potential employers via OnTrac, a useful tool to highlight our strengths and weaknesses in a measurable way. This allows potential employers to have realistic expectations of our skills set and thus ensure that we get the best suited jobs."

Kelvin LEE
SIS Undergraduate Student
(Batch 2005)

“LOMS gives students the cutting edge together with their GPA. Potential Employers will be able to view the learning curves of a particular candidate over a period of time. Students can use it as a tool to track their own progress and understand their level of competency. The Urban Myth of ‘GPA does not reflect a true student's capability' will be long gone with LOMS providing students and employers information on skill levels and competency.”

HAN Jun Kwang
SIS Undergraduate Student
(Batch 2006)

“LOMS allow students to identify their strengths and weaknesses, which enforces its usability as a ‘course guidance tool' for students to plan their course modules ahead of them. LOMS is also useful for charting a student's progress in the key development areas as identified by LOMS.”
