Practice-track faculty openings in the area of Enterprise Integration & Solutioning
Candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
Capable of designing and delivering IT courses in the areas of:
Enterprise Integration
Advanced Business Solutions
Architecture Analysis
Must have real world hands-on experience with designing and implementing business solutions in the above areas in industries such as financial services, supply chain & logistics, health & medical services, retail, hospitality and entertainment, manufacturing, e-government etc;
Requires a Masters or PhD in a related Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a well recognized university;
Outstanding communication skills, intuition for interactive teaching and passion for innovative pedagogy;
Deep experience in designing and implementing leading-edge IT solutions that impact business IT practice; and,
Prior consulting, training, or teaching experience is strongly preferred.

SMU-Carnegie Mellon Partnership
Selected SIS faculty candidates will be asked to interview at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA). In 2003, SMU and Carnegie Mellon entered into a close partnership to jointly establish the SMU School of Information Systems (SIS). Since that time, Carnegie Mellon faculty have been participating in SIS faculty selection, mentoring and career development, as well as in the design and evolution of the SIS undergraduate curriculum, Ph.D. programme, and research strategy.
