We are constantly making improvements to the BSc (ISM) curriculum to keep it relevant and to ensure that you have an ever growing diversity of professional and career options. In addition, we are constantly working with our students to get feedback on how to enhance your undergraduate student experience.
Improvements to the course work and classroom related experience:
• Core IS course roadmap changed
to allow for more electives and flexibility
• A wide array of 2nd major options (e.g. with IS+Accounting, IS+Operations, IS+Marketing, etc)
• IS Software Foundations - the introductory software course - changed to make
it “more friendly” to JC/High School students who have no previous exposure
to software design
• More depth electives for IS technology & applications
• More depth electives for IS management
• More real world case study that makes for better teaching examples
• More exposure to leading business solutions applications that are widely used by companies
• Even stronger linkages with industry that will help you with projects, internships and employment
Improvements to the learning environment outside the coursework and classroom experience:
• An expansion of a number of SIS Special Interest Groups
• More voluntary enrichment workshops and supplemental undergraduate activities in response to student interests
• More Business-IT activities that expose our students to facinating things in the real world
• More Business-IT talks that expose our students to industry leaders and professionals
